I think that a Typical Singaporean would not have the initiative to tip or to rather to start having a tipping culture. Because to me, I believe that we ourselves ( typical singaporeans) are selfish and always consider about ourselves first before others. This tipping system would mostly work on foriegners because they might think that this or that restaurant has a good service and high quality food and they would not get the chance to be here eating the food again, so they would prefer to tip on their good service. Singaporeans are different, they would rather not tip but pay GST. Because GST has a already a fixed amount everytime so they would just prefer to pay the fixed amount rather then thinking how must they should tip and considering about their faces or fame if they would to pay that amount or what so ever.

i think that tipping is not really useful in singapore as the amount anyone tips is not really the same as others.the people who will most likely tip each other will be the foreigners who visit singapore. they will most likely do that as it is part of their lifestyle in america. most singaporeans will prefer paying the GST.

I think that Singaporeans' will not be tipping. It is just not in our culture to tip and other than that, GST is also one of the alternatives why Singaporeans don't tip. But if some of them wants to, tipping would be greatly appreciated by the people working in the service industry. But considering the fact that most of us will not tip.

I feel that singaporeans will not tip. This is due to the fact that singaporeans are very selfish and stingy. It is also not our culture to tip unlike foreigners who tip in their country.
